Medimagh International Consulting

About Medimagh International Consulting

Medimagh International Consulting was born from a structural observation: too often, health policies and strategies are designed far from the lived realities of individuals and communities.

Despite abundant normative frameworks and data, decisions are still frequently driven by institutional or funding logics, without producing lasting change in real life.

MIC exists to bridge this gap between policies, systems, and lived experience, contributing to public health policies and systems grounded in evidence, aligned with human rights, and able to improve living conditions for people and communities.

A different approach to public health

What MIC does differently?

MIC adopts a systemic approach that connects data, decisions, practice, and lived experience.

The firm works across the full cycle of health policies and programs, from analysis to evaluation, ensuring decisions are based on evidence, enriched by field knowledge, and continuously adjusted, including governance and coordination efforts within missions.

This institutional engagement includes participation in global health governance bodies, notably the 41st Global Fund Board Meeting (Geneva, 2019), as part of national coordination mechanisms and dialogue with international funding partners.

This approach integrates gender equity transversally, with particular attention to lived realities of women that are often insufficiently captured in health policies.

Digital tools and artificial intelligence are mobilized to reinforce participation, accountability, and continuous learning, in service of autonomy and system transformation.

This expertise is grounded in documented international missions, including the Pharos Global Health report on Tunisia's health system transition, which examines sustainability, governance, and health policy transition challenges.

Dr Amira Medimagh – Founder of MIC

Medimagh International Consulting was founded by Dr Amira Medimagh, physician and senior international public health expert, holder of a Master in Public Health from the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp.

With 20+ years of experience alongside governments, United Nations agencies, NGOs, and community networks, she has worked on complex issues related to public health, human rights, gender equity, and health systems strengthening, particularly in sensitive contexts.

Her journey shaped a posture grounded in coherence between normative frameworks, data, lived realities, and individual agency. MIC is the structured expression of this path, in service of more human, equitable, and effective health policies and systems.
